Stunning beautiful Blue! This Nomadic tribal kilim, is a vintage weave, from the1960s. Made in the Mut district of Mersin province, Turkey. Produced by workers, skilled in an art form that goes back many hundreds of years. Beautiful colour combinations, make for a superb home decor item, an art collection piece or a valuable gift for family and friends. Rural Turkey produces these amazing floor coverings, and this unique flat weave style is known as cicim. This really is a superb piece, in great condition. Woven in an eye-catching and striking pattern, with its attractive Blue /Brown colour combination. Gorgeous lattice design with an embroidered 'Cicim' weaving technique. Made entirely from local sheep's Wool that has been expertly brocaded, onto a Goat hair, foundation kilim base. A uniquely beautiful, handmade Anatolian flatweave, that fits perfectly, into a contemporary room or is equally at home, in a traditional, country house setting.
